电采暖目前有两类形式：一类是以热泵为基础的电采暖技术，包括土壤源热泵、水源热泵、污水源热泵、空气源热泵，能效比较高，但受使用环境的限制。另一类是以电阻直接发热的形式，包括电暖气、空调、电热膜、电热布、发热电缆、碳晶板、碳纤维、蓄热式电散热器、电热水锅炉、电磁热水器等，使用比较方便。
